 2. The DSO will contact the relevant statutory authorities (e.g., Social Services, Police) for guidance and to make a formal report, in accordance with Cameroonian law.

3. The parents/guardians of the child will be informed, unless advised not to by the authorities (e.g., if it would put the child at greater risk).

4. The accused adult will be immediately suspended from all contact with children pending the outcome of the investigation, to ensure the child’s protection and the integrity of the process.

The No School, No Football” Policy: Educating the Total Athlete
At Allstars Football Academy Bamenda, we are committed to Building Champions on and off the Pitch. We believe that a true champion is defined not only by their skill with a ball but by their character, intellect, and contribution to society. Our core “No School, No Football” policy is the foundation of this philosophy.
What is the Policy?
In simple terms: A player’s commitment to their education is their ticket to the pitch. Consistent attendance and satisfactory performance in formal schooling are mandatory prerequisites for participation in any football training session or match with the academy.
This is a non-negotiable rule. Football is not an alternative to education; it is a reward and a tool that complements it.
Why Do We Have This Policy?
1. Prioritizing Lifelong Success: A football career, while a dream for many, is statistically a short-term and uncertain path. A solid education provides a foundation for lifelong success, opening doors to careers in coaching, sports management, medicine, business, and countless other fields.
2. Building Discipline and Responsibility: The discipline required to balance schoolwork and sports training is invaluable. This policy teaches our players time management, responsibility, and the importance of honoring commitments.
3. Empowering the Whole Person: Education empowers young people with critical thinking skills, knowledge, and confidence. An educated player is better equipped to make smart decisions on the pitch, in their community, and in their personal lives.
4. Engaging Parents and Guardians: This policy creates a crucial partnership between the academy and the family, aligning our goals for the child’s holistic development.
How Do We Implement It? (The Process)
The “No School, No Football” policy is actively enforced through a structured system:
1. Enrollment Verification:
· Upon registration, parents/guardians must provide proof of the child’s enrollment in a recognized school or academic program.
2. Regular Attendance Monitoring:
· School Report Book/Diary: Players must bring their school diary to every training session. Coaches conduct random spot-checks to verify attendance and look for teacher comments.
· Partnership with Schools: Where possible, we establish communication with school heads or class teachers to monitor attendance and performance, especially for players identified as at-risk.
· Parent Liaison: We maintain open communication with parents, who are required to inform us of any valid reasons for school absence (e.g., illness).
3. Academic Performance Check-ins:
· We require players to submit their end-of-term report cards.
· While we don’t demand straight A’s, we look for satisfactory effort and progress. A significant or consistent drop in grades triggers intervention.
4. Mandatory Study Support:
· Supervised Study Halls: Before or after training, we provide mandatory study sessions where players can complete homework in a quiet, structured environment.
· Peer Tutoring: Older players and university student-volunteers from the Bambili community assist younger players with their schoolwork, fostering a culture of collaborative learning.
Consequences and Support: A System of Accountability and Care
Our approach is not purely punitive; it is supportive and corrective.

· First Instance (Unexcused Absence/Poor Performance): The player will have a one-on-one conversation with the coach and the Academy Director. They will be allowed to train but must sit out the next match. A meeting with parents is scheduled to understand the root cause.
· Repeat Instance: The player is temporarily suspended from all football activities. We develop a specific Academic Improvement Plan with the player and parents, which may include mandatory attendance at extra study sessions.

· Persistent Non-Compliance: If a player consistently shows a disregard for their education despite interventions, they will be regretfully suspended from the academy until they can demonstrate a renewed and sustained commitment to their schooling.
In Conclusion:
The “No School, No Football” policy is our unwavering commitment to our players’ futures. It is the clearest expression of our belief that the most important victories are not won on the scoreboard, but in the classroom and the community. We are not just building footballers; we are nurturing the next generation of leaders for Bamenda and beyond.
For us, an educated player is the ultimate champion.
